Started on third pull after adding oil and fuel. Ran for 1 hour break-in period with no problems. Easy to maneuver. Bought it as back up to a Westinghouse 7000e that is 9 years old that I just replaced the fuel line and spark plug on. The 5300v will work with my Generlink device for home emergency power.
I just received the shipment and put together today easily. The only issue I would like to share with everyone is that the Electric Start may not work in the first time because the battery does not have power. You have to use Manual Start and let the engine run for a while to charge the battery. I hope the other models may not have such problem. In general, it works when I try today.
You can use 3 prong or 4 prong 240 volt or 120 connections. Strong power and starts on first try. Anyone can start this bad boy and you can run almost anything.
Just bought this generator and I am in the process of doing the run in. All the directions that come with it were very clear. Was very impressed with all the items that come with it like the tool kit and also a bottle of engine oil so I did not have to go out and get oil.
