We bought this generator for our daughter to be able to run her sump pump in her basement during a power outage. It looks well made and my husband easily put rhe few pieces on the generator. Filled with oil and gas and it started on the first try. I think this will be easy for our daughter to use and also power a couple of lights.
This generator was strongly recommended for my needs. Westinghouse has a stellar reputation and as such I am confidant this generator will provide many years of dependable operation.
So farvim not seeing many cons to this product,ex c ept that the transport handle could be a tad longer so I don't have to stoop over while moving it around.
I bought this generator to rapid charge my solar system batteries in the unlikely event that the grid is down, there is no sun and my battery bank is depleted. I specifically appreciate the power output (just over 5kW), the electric start and the reasonable noise level. After unboxing and loading oil and gas, the generator fired right up with no issues. The design is very clean, full featured and reasonably portable with large wheels. If you don’t need an inverter generator, I’d highly recommend this one. I also own a Westinghouse inverter generator that we take camping and have been very happy with that unit for several years now.
I bought this as it was similar to my neighbor's, who let me use his during the mass pwoer outages on April 29th. This one has more wattage, but for the proce, that is a good thing. I just wanted to keep my food cold in the refrigerator. It is assuring I can do much more!
