Upon receiving online purchase, WGEN5300SC Generator’s exhaust cover appears to have a dent on it’s side. Engine easily started via rope pull and push start button. Will be testing generator’s electrical output in the near future to determine if 5 stars is earned. Hope to receive generator’s cover soon.

This is a powerful generator that can run all the home appliances, just not a furnace or whole house air conditioner. I am able to run the refrigerator, computer (and modem and router) and tv all at the same time. The best thing about the WGen model is it is very user friendly, the operation is self explanatory and logically set up.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Good upgrade

I needed a new generator for the occasional power outages in my rural locale. I bought this generator because of its good combination of compact size to power ratio and because of the electric start (with recoil backup) that would make my life easier.

Easy to start. Steady power to 5-20R outlets. Cannot power to L14-30R 120/140V 30A outlet.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Best investment for camping and backup power

Purchase this as a stand by power supply for our home may not power the whole house but just enough power to keep the mandatory essential appliances running until power is restored. Will also serve as our main power when camping.
