Remote Start

Bought this over a month ago and use it daily. We went away for a weekend and didn’t use it with us but when we came back the generator wouldn’t start. It required us to use another generator to charge the battery for it to start. (Battery drained with no use.) The remote start is convenient but you still have to charge the remote as it does die quickly. Guzzles a lot of gas and idles high. I don’t recommend this generator.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi Kaye, thank you for your purchase, we are happy to hear that you have gotten continuous use of the generator. Unfortunately, in order to use the remote start feature the battery must be somewhat charged and if the generator has not been on in a bit, then the battery will be drained. Since traditional generator are not smart in the sense that they will have a low idle, we recommend that you get an inverter generator that will be more fuel efficient, have the lowest noise, and have a lower idle than a traditional portable generator. Peace of Mind

Easy to power up and store. Had an inverter installed for powering up the well and refrigerator if we lose power.

Exactly what I expected from Westinghouse Quality! Very easy assembly and started right up! Glad I got the Electric Start to have 2 starting options. Great features with everything labeled. No damage from shipping at all.

Great looking Generator

Refurbished but it looked as new, received in 2 days, box was in great condition, I put the wheels on gassed it up, put the oil in , started right up, now I am hoping for a storm (not really)

Great choice for seniors

We were at 1st concerned when the generator arrived in a box seeing we are in our 70's but once opened and directions read/followed we were abled to assemble the legs and wheels with no problem. After adding the oil, some gas and connecting the battery the generator started right up. We were shocked to say the least that two seniors with no mechanical skills got it to work.
I would recommend this to a friend!
