It's less noisy than I thought.

It's nice that there's less noise compared to my last experience. I also like that it's a recoil starter but starts right away and easy set up.

Easy to install

I bought this 2 weeks ago. I am now in the break in. I plan to change the oil after the first use just to be safe. System started right up within seconds. The only thing I do not like is the oil fill is in an awkward position. I have not put the system under a load yet, but it runs smooth. Seems like it is efficient in using the fuel. The generator is fairly loud, but that is to be expected. I am glad I have it for bad weather. I have lost two freezers full of meat the last couple of years and do not plan for that to happen again. I also plan to use the system off road at my hunting property where I do not have electricity.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Does what I need.

Did a lot of study and decided on the Westinghouse 5300cv. Good features, transfer switch ready, enough power to run the essentials (like the refrigerator, lights, and fans) making power outages tolerable.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This generator is perfect to get us through the cold winter month if needed or the crazy summer months if needed. Very easy to set up very pleased with all of it.

I just purchased my Westinghouse 5300 I added my engine oil and it started with no problem it is just what I needed for emergency use around my house
