No electrical output

Purchased for hurricane power outages. I was excited to try it when our power went out after Isaias went through. I prepared by filling the oil and adding gas. It started and ran fine for a couple of hours but produced no electrical output - so I shut it down and lived with the heat and no power to our two fridges - we even went out that afternoon to buy bags of ice to try and save our food - luckily power came back on later that evening. I will now need to try and get it fixed before the next hurricane runs through our area.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this because I purchased my first home and i live in a area prone to bad weather and hurricanes. I first used this product for hurricane isaias. It lasted me till the power came back on i used for appliances like the refrigerator and stuff and to power lights and the tv and some fans. The instructions are very helpful if you dont know what you are doing i am only 25 and dont know alot about small engines and i did not have trouble other then it took a couple pulls to start it at first. It also came with tools and some oil which was helpful.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Reliable and easy to use

We had another power outage in our area -- after a power outage last June, I bought this unit and I'm glad I did. Very easy to operate, very well-written directions, got the job done.

Made this purchase during Florida Tax free week. We wanted an emergency generator in case of a rogue hurricane. We were pleasantly surprised with the build quality; very sturdy and well built. Very easy to set up and start. Runs very quiet compared to other brands I've used in the past. So far, we're very happy with this purchase.
