I put a transfer switch on the outside of our house for use in case we have a prolonged outage (Buffalo Winters Suck) -- After doing the math I figured I needed at max 5000 watts to run various lights, refrigerator, freezer and our steam boiler. This Generator will run them all without issue, and can also run a microwave and air fryer simultaneously. This was really surprising to me --- That and the fact that it is electric start made this a no brainer for me.
I purchased this generator a day after a major wind storm knocked out my power for more than a day. I have been putting off buying a generator for years, but decided that it was time. Based on reviews and recommendations, I decided on the Westinghouse. It arrived in 6 days and was simple to assemble and get ready for use. The engine fired right up after only two pulls! Hopefully I will never need to use it, but the peace of mind of knowing that it's there and will fire right up means a lot. I highly recommend this to those who are looking.
With the power outages happening in California i had to buy a generator for my house. So far it is doing a great job keeping my refrigerator, tv, internet and lights on. Great buy for the price.
I did all the research and the 5300S has all the right features you are looking for in a generator. Low sound, running time, electric start, amp capacity, etc.
