A Step Up

Had a smaller version of the Westinghouse generator prior to this one (3600v). The 5300 is powerful enough to run my dryer, whereas the smaller one was not. The included wheels and pull handle are definitely a plus since it was kind of a pain to move the smaller one without them. Also the feet and wheels keep the 5300 from having the frame sit directly on the ground, so that keeps it out of the rain/snow. I use this as auxiliary power for an off-grid cabin. It has enough power to run a refrigerator, chest freezer, washer & dryer (LP gas), lights and water pump. The 3600 only had enough power to run some things - not everything at once (and not the dryer at all). Works great for my application, and I believe it would be a good choice for an RV or emergency power application as well. Only drawbacks vs the smaller version is that it burns more fuel (approx. one 4.7 gal. tank to power the above mentioned devices for about 12 hours) and it is a bit louder while running.

Smooth and Easy!

Got this for backup during storms. It was super easy to put together and then to start up. Runs smooth and easy without any issues and great to use.

I BOUGHT THIS GENERATOR BECAUSE IT IS ELECTRIC START WITH REMOTE START. I HAVE LUNG CANCER, SO I DON'T HAVE TO PULL START IT.

I purchased this a few days ago ad got it ready to use. It was surprising quiet and ran all my major appliances throughout the house. I am very pleased with the generator.

I bought two generators. One for my father n law and the other one for our family. Easy to assemble and works like a charm. My daughter, 16 years old, helped out and did an amazing job assembling the tires. Love you!
My father-in-law lives in Houston, TX and his area is prone to hurricanes and flash flooding events. This generator replaces his old generator of His home is already set up with a converter outlet to power his home when the city power goes down. We bought to brand new cables and had our electricians install the L14-30 connecters. He's about to turn 82 years old and he's still staying active even though his knees already gave out. He has to take care of his son who is has been bed ridden for the past 33 years. Without electricity, he can not care for him when using medical equipment. I love my father-n-law for being such a great man and human being!

Light Weight & Good Control Features

I bought this unit only a few days ago, was an easy setup process to do. I ran the unit for 1 hour under load and had no issues. This is a great light compact unit reasonably priced for the intended use for emergency use for me. I would say one improvement for future thought if the handle to transport could have a latch to make it able to pull or push unit, for pushing the handle does not stay in the upright position.
