We have been researching generators to purchase, starting last year. Due to hurricane season 2023, we ended up not purchasing because we waited too long, and they were hard to find due to hurricane season in full swing. This year we started early and after reviewing many based-on features and pricing, we decided on the Westinghouse WGEN5300SC. The portability was important, and it allowed us to purchase the amount of power we needed, for a good price.

Great features

I bought this at the beginning of the 2024 hurricane season (06/2024). I actually bought two; one for my wife and I and a second one for my son, his wife, and our grandchild. I especially was sold on the features, especially the CO monitor alarm, the gas level gauge on the top of the tank, and the numerous power outlets.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Just received the item yesterday, try remote and push button to start and stop, no problem.Didn't try recoil start yet, looks nice generator
