Great Generator

I finally bought this last month, after installing a transfer switch 7 years ago! Power went out last week and everything worked as expected. It started easily and ran smoothly. It's loud, but at least it was outside.

Mobility, ease of use was just what we needed!

In August our power went out after a storm and was off for 2 days. Our neighbor nicely lent us his so that we were able to power our 2 refrigerators a chest freezer and a few other essentials.
That is when we decided we needed to have one of our own. He recommended an inverter generator since they were easier to start and more portable.
We spent a lot of time reviewing both and after much on-line shopping and reading dozens of reviews, we decided that the Westinghouse WGen5300cv is what we needed.
Both my wife and I are in our 60's-70's and our big concern was whether we would be able to start it. Many of the reviews on this generator mentioned an easy start.
The portability of this generator was also a major factor in this purchase. It arrived completely assembled except for the back wheels and front "feet". The assembly of those took just minutes. Adding those made if very easy to move around. The handle to pull the generator folds up and down easily and has a nice foam grip.
After putting oil and gasoline in it we gave it a pull and it started right away. My wife was very happy that she was able to get it started with such ease.
Another thing that I like was the fact that the outlets on the side had covers.
Murphy's law says we probably won't have our power go out now that we have purchased a generator, but after purchasing this, we feel confident that if it does, we will be all set.

This is a nice size generator easy to move jobsite to jobsite. It's quiet running compared to other generators I have had.

Runs pretty good

Took me a minute to get it started, but now it works great. I had to slow down and really pay attention to instructions. I think i may have flooded it initially. My only complaint is that I wish it held more gas.
