I recently purchased this generator and it would not run. I had to remove the carburetor and clean it out. There was corrosion in the bowl and the jet was clogged. Maybe my model had been sitting for some time causing the corrosion. It runs now, but still doesn't seem to be smooth and runs a little rough. After getting it running it does seems to be a little louder compared to similar generators. Now its not job site loud and it will suffice, but I was expecting just a little bit quieter.

just received it. Only ran for about 30 with 25% load. Runs nice and quiet. Started and stopped several times and works well.

I bought this I could not ask for anything better everything came with the item as said, Started the first time with start button after putting oil and gas remote works and the sound very quit very happy with this product I plugged in my camper perfect everything runs even 15000BTU air love it

Nice features, but choke problem is a bummer!

I purchased for the high power rating and the remote start. Unfortunately reviews I saw talked about a choke problem. Turns out I have the issue as well. The "auto" choke function for the electric start does not work. So you have to open up the engine panel and manually choke in order to start. This defeats the purpose of a remote start. I like the quietness and hope the high power rating will run my RV A/C unit well.

After extensive research, I chose the gas powered Westinghouse iGen4500 generator to add to our Generac portable propane and Inergy APEX solar generators to ensure multiple power supply options in an emergency situation. The iGen4500 is everything and more than we could have hoped for in a generator -- power, quiet, extensive front panel for optimal use and information, handy pull-out handle for portability. The iGen4500 motor purrs like a kitten under a well padded durable plastic housing. Adding the iGen4500 to our emergency portable power supply gives us the peace of mind we were looking for in a gasoline powered generator.
