Purchased for our camper after reading lots of comparisons and reviews. Arrived today via UPS. No problems when unpacking. Followed the instructions, connected the battery, added oil and gas, then it fired right up after a few cranks. Let it warm up and then used a 1500W heat gun and flood light to give it a load -- no problems. My only issue was the instructions said add the entire container of oil (0.63qt)...I did and when I pulled the funnel out, about 0.03qt of oil spilled out and I notice the label on the generator said it holds 0.60qt. If that's the only problem, I'll take that!
We finally got to take this out on a dispersed camping trip. We took 6 gallons of gas, but only put 1 gallon in to start off with. At the rate we used it, the 1 gallon lasted the three days and ran quietly. Although we didn't run equipment long, it ran our 15,000 BTU AC unit, charged the battery, and ran the accessories. It ran quiet enough that the people around didn't complain. Loved the remote start. I didn't think I would need it, but it was really handy. Would definitely buy again, just need to see how long it lasts.
Finally decided to buy a generator after Hurricane Laura, after much research I decided on the Westinghouse iGen4500. Although I have not had to use it yet it looks to be a well made machine, very quite, easy to start with clean power.
After having evaluated various makes and models I decided on the IGEN4500. Preparing it for the first use was easy. The one with the remote is great. Very quiet. I definitely recommend it.
