Purchased a iGen4500 recently after reading many reviews. It was the best price for the features that I need. Runs very quiet and efficient and runs my fifth wheel camper without any hesitation. Just in time for hurricane season too. Now we can camp wherever we want in comfort.

I just bought this generator a few days ago to power my camper when boon docking it. This thing is amazing! Super quiet. Powers everything in my fifth wheel to keep the wife happy.

Prepped the unit just as directed, started right up and ran smooth. Probably the most quiet generator I have heard. Connected to toy hauler trailer and cycled through A/C and no problems! Haven't used long term on a camping trip, etc., but have no concerns that unit will perform as advertised.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Terrible Experience

Ran for 15 minutes fine. Next time I went to fire it up and it won't run, just turns over and over. Contacted customer support almost three weeks ago and have yet to have a response.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

After reading many reviews for many different brands of generators, I decided to go with the Westinghouse iGen4500. I know people claim they have trouble with the choke or the unit is damaged on delivery but I did not have any issues with it. B/c I read all those things tho, the first thing I did was tear it apart in my shop and check for damage / loose bolts / poor electrical connections / signs of replaced parts / etc. I found nothing out of place and the unit seems well built. I have since put 20 hours on it during weekend trips in the last 2 months and everything seems in working order. It is one of the quietest units on the market in my opinion. Had it sitting 2 feet from the RV and couldn't hear it over the noise from another generator 50 yards away. I haven't had to deal w/ customer service yet (knock on wood) so I can't comment on that. Just be diligent; break it in properly, replace the oil after break-in (replacing the spark plug can't hurt either) and treat it right. It's a small engine and small engines love to take advantage of those who don't treat them right. Oh, and the remote start will get you a lot of "man, that's cool. wish I had that" kind of comments.

Purchased this instead of Honda

I did significant research. I purchased this instead of two Honda 2200's to parallel. Started perfectly within 5 minutes of unboxing. Oil, gas, battery START.
