What can I say, this is second one purchased to add to the first one purchased in June of 2021. The first was purchased as a backup to a larger generator mounted on a tag trailer pulled with a small 30 amp MH. The MH has a built in genset but I wanted something not mounted on the MH, and quieter. It ran the motor home with no issues in 90 degree heat. Next I added a second AC unit on the MH to be powered externally and not through the MH circuit. Since the first iGen4500 is mounted on the tongue of the trailer it is used to power the extra AC unit while traveling removing some burden from the cab air. It has worked flawlessly. This second iGen4500 will replace the larger 7000 unit mounted in the generator box on the tag trailer. Reasons? Quieter, lighter (two of these weigh less than the 7000 generator) , smaller footprint and very fuel efficient. If need be both can be combined for more power than the single 7000 unit. I have had several generators over the years and the iGen4500 beats them all.
Bought new - would not start out of the box. Had to remove covers, adjust choke, charge battery...not difficult, just a pain.
Service access sucks. Why is the access panel to the carb, choke, throttle screwed on? Should be an quick release panel - especially with the starting issues.
Just received yesterday and no remote with unit. Top reason why on purchase. Called and received a case number. Will see how this turns out. Thanks Lenny
