Our iGen4500 generator arrived today and we began breaking it in by carefully following the provided instructions, which were simple and easy to follow. The generator started easily and ran well. The features on this generator are great. We especially like the remote start and stop capability and the data provided via the digital display. The capability of this generator, e.g. the power output and the runtime, is exceptional. This is a great value. No buyer's remorse here. We look forward to using it on new adventures with our RV (travel trailer). We also appreciate the new peace of mind in being able to keep critical appliances running during a home power outage.
I bought this almost a year ago to use on my food truck. It runs amazing and is pretty quiet. We power two freezers, a refrigerator, water heater, A/C, lights, and a few other small things. It's never failed us! The handy remote start stopped working but it isn't really needed since it has electric start anyway. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!
Recently retired needed a boondocking power supply for my new RV and this was it. It is quiet, efficient and the remote start lets you provide power on demand effortlessly and quietly!
I own a Honda EU7500 generator which I love but was looking for something smaller, so I thought to give Westinghouse a try. The price point is amazing for the quality and features. I live in California where every household almost requires a generator for weather or power shut-off events. It runs very quiet, similar to my Honda, maybe a little quieter.
My only complaint so far is the accessibility and ease of changing the oil, which happens more often than you may think, every 50 hours. I understand in order to keep it compact all the parts are placed accordingly, but if you have big hands this will be a serious chore. When changing the oil and removing the oil plug I have had issues with only loosing and removing the plug itself. there is an 1 1/2 inch stem between the bottom of the engine block and the oil plug and it continuously is what unscrews instead of just the oil plug. I have not contacted Westinghouse to seek a resolve to this issue so Im unsure of the severity or remedy to this situation.
Overall it seems to be a solid generator and I would recommend it for its quality and price.
We bought this a in need of a generator for mainly camping trips that are not with hookups. It worked excellent and worked so effortlessly, easy to use and an excellent product.
