Great Generator

I bought the igen4500DF 20 days ago and am impressed with the quality and features. I have only run it with gas so far, but I'm confident this unit will meet our needs.
The left side panel was cracked upon delivery. I was able to contact support easily on a Sunday. The parts department obviously wasn't open an but a case was opened. I am sure this will be resolved quickly.

I've been looking for one of these for months but everyone is out of stock. Finally found it and bought immediately based on reviews, glad i did. Super quiet compared to my previous Champion I returned due to noise level. Plenty of power, great features, runs everything at once on our 23' Nash trailer, exactly what i wanted. The remote start is a bonus in the cold mornings. No issues with delivery or condition other than some kind of silicone grease on everything in the wrapper. Hoping for many years of service.

This seems like a good inverter. Starts easily, runs quietly, good indicators, etc. There are a couple of manufacturing details that could use some attention. First, plastic openings (oil, battery) have sharp edges that will scratch up your hands when you’re maneuvering in them. Second, instructions CLEARLY say to pour entire oil bottle in. Given how difficult it is to get to the oil plug/dipstick, I decided I’d go with those instructions. Definite overfill if you follow that guidance. Start with about 3/4 of the bottle. Third, the propane inlet is a brass fitting that requires a tight seal. The plastic housing cover was not squarely installed and part of it is over the edge of the inlet, making it a bit precarious to ensure the right seal.

I like the ease of using Propane

Using the propane side is so easy, as it self primes with the pressure. Nice layout and fits in the front of my 5th wheel on a slide. Direct wired to power inside with a short pigtail to use in iGen. Having the remote start makes it easy to use from inside the 5th.
Would recommend for any RV user and put on a slideout from storage bay.

Finally...

I bought this just for emergencies. We don’t need much, just the essentials so I figured this had enough wattage. I have a 30 year old fridge so I was worried about that but the generator running on propane handled it with no problem. I love the fact that it’s dual fuel. I usually have a spare full propane tank on hand to swap out the grill and almost always have extra gas, so this gives me some flexibility. It is heavy but the retractable dolly handle and the lifting bars makes it fairly easy to handle.
