Love Remote Start & Running On Propane

I bought the IGEN4500DF for RV boondocking and home backup power. Love the remote start when in the RV and I can connect it to my remote propane port at the rear of my trailer. It's very quiet near idle and fairly quiet even when running at full bore. This is only only generator I could find with propane, auto-choke and remote start. Very happy with the purchase!

Out of the box, it was leaking fuel

Yet to run anythig but a fan to test out. As soon as I added fuel it started leaking. They forgot to close drain screw before shipment. It was also missing a bolt for the panel. Not a good sign.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Just right for me

I previously purchased a pair of iGen2200’s to run in parallel for my RV. When I saw this with its dual fuel capability and remote start I sold the 2200’s to buy one. Works great right out of the box, after adding oil and connecting the battery of course, and it’s less than 1/2 the price of a comparable Honda.
I would recommend this to a friend!

All the features you could want

We had a rough start with our generator since the first one could never find its RPM. This one doesn’t have that problem and seems to be pretty stable. It’s quiet, compact, fuel efficient, and runs on propane and gasoline. The electric and remote start functions are great features to have especially since I travel and don’t want my wife to have to be yanking on a pull cord if the power goes out while I’m on the road. After being without power for 3 days due to snow (in south Texas of all places) and hearing predictions of power outages in the summer as well, we weren’t going to wait around to see if we needed something.

Researched many inverter generators. For this class of generators it has every feature you would need. Runs very quiet. Dual fuel feature is so convenient.
Remote start great convenience. Generators are relatively heavy. Wheels and handle make this so easy to move around. You can not go wrong with this generator.

Everything needed in one small unit, fired up first try on propane !
Very quiet running unit, easy maintenance, quieter and less fumes than my old gas 4500 watt open frame.
Electric start is simple, push for 1 second and it starts, same to shut down.
Happy customer !
