Saved my bacon during Hurricane Ida, literally & f

Relocated to LA 6 years ago & after 2020’s very active hurricane season I knew I needed to have a generator on hand this year but needed one I could understand & operate on my own. I liked the idea of having an alternative fuel source I can store too. Push button start is awesome! My gas lasted me a lot longer than others & my generator was by far much quieter than any I’ve heard. Thumbs up from a female user…& the guy I’m seeing told his dad about mine & they went & bought one after they heard how efficient & easy mine was to run! I’d say that’s a 5 star rating since they are old hats at hurricanes. Very pleased!
P.S. Don’t judge my generator’s tent :) I needed to make sure it stayed dry since our power was down for a week!

Pretty quiet.

I like this generator. It's very compact and quiet. But, I thought it would have a manual pull start. It does have recoil start but needs a live battery to "switch on" before it will fire with the pull start.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have had this for a couple weeks. Seems to be good generator. The dual fuel feature is great and seems to work seemlessly. The generator started about half way through the first pull. I also like how the digital data center tells you everything you need to know

iGen4500DF Out-of-Box First Impression

First impression of the outer box is that it was a bit light weight and I was in for some broken parts as the banding straps had cut deep into the cardboard. Opened the box to find the battery door was not attached, the battery was hanging out of the battery compartment, and the battery hold down strap near the oil fill plug. Good news is none of the parts were damaged, but reinstalling the battery hold down strap and battery is a bit tight for adult hands. Filled up with oil using the provided oil and screw in funnel, with no issues. Hooked up the propane line to the regulator and then the generator with no issues. (Generator came with a tool kit, so no need to go to the toolbox.) Turned on the propane, pressed the ON/OFF button and within a couple revolutions it was running and more quiet than I had anticipated. Ran for an hour with 1K load no issues. Have not tested with the 15K RV AC unit yet.
Only real negatives were the condition of packaging, parts dislodged in transit, and the battery and oil fill access panels a bit too small for adult hands.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great features and quiet!

Unpacking and setup was easy. I have only had it for one day. Have tested startup on gasoline and propane under minimal load with no issues. Used the electric start which was very nice. Also tested the pull start which was easy but it was after the generator was already warm. Will have to test when engine is cold or better yet make sure the battery stays charged. Very nice, feature rich generator. My only frustration was adding the initial oil. Instruction said add engine oil before starting. Specs said oil capacity is 0.6 liters. The supplied bottle of 10w30 oil was labeled 0.6 liters. Poured entire bottle of oil into engine using the supplied screw-in funnel. Removed supplied funnel and engine was overfilled spilling oil into the generator shroud and leaking oil onto the garage floor. Very frustrating. The supplied screw-in opaque funnel inhibits you from seeing the oil level while pouring the oil into the engine.
