Looks solid. High altitude kit is a pain

I bought this generator a couple months ago. Upon receiving it, I learned I was supposed to install a high altitude carburetor kit (from instructions buried in the manual) or I would void the warranty. The high altitude kit was nearly impossible to find online. The part numbers didn’t match the numbers in the manual but they did match the part numbers I found in a Westinghouse blog. I finally found it on some site that seemed affiliated with Westinghouse but I’m not even sure. I certainly wasn’t sure I’d receive the parts I ordered. They did show eventually but the instructions on the blog are really only meant for a technician so I had to find a local repairman to come install them. I finally got them installed, two months after my initial purchase. If you live above 2,000 ft, be prepared for a long process to buy and install the kit
The generator otherwise seems solid and well built. Starting it is easy and it’s quiet

Love the Dual Fuel and Remote Start

I've only owned this generator for 2 months, so far so good. I really like the dual fuel feature. Makes it a great addition to the travel trailer, not having to carry gas cans. The remote start is also a very nice feature.

Easy set-up

Just got my new generator. Wow. Very easy instructions on how to set up. Everything included so I could test right away. Started immediately with all three methods (push button, fob, and pull start) using either the gas or propane as fuel source. Very quiet. Easy to transport using handle. Love gauges to let you know how much fuel, voltage, etc.

Bought this for the dual fuel option and have only used propane. Hooked everything up and started immediately. We have a couple of extra tanks and will keep them full for outages.

I originally purchased another Westinghouse generator that was virtually impossible for me to start by hand. The pull-cord stroke was something like 7 feet! This push-button start is everything it's supposed to be. Starts super easy, runs quiet. BTW, the 30 amp connection is kind of an oddball. Not sure why they chose that particular design for the extension cord. But if you keep looking you'll find the cord that you need.
