Purchased this generator for home outages due to weather (sub-tropical hurricane territory). I received the generator 06/09, and did an immediate inspection. All looked good. Did another look 06/10 while I read the manual to learn my way around the unit. Very straightforward for maintenance and repair. Put oil in it, and fired it up. Ran perfectly and really quiet! With proper maintenance, this generator should last me for many years.

Dual fuel is the way to go. No need to carry extra gasoline when the trailer has propane.

Good Generator for Home Use

Good for when power goes out. Electric start is nice to have and like the flexibility that dual fuel option provides. Oil access panel could be enlarged to make filling and changing oil easier, but overall generator works good.
I would recommend this to a friend!

So Far So Good

Set up was easy. Don't forget to oil air filter. Only issue I had with initial setup was adding nearly all of the supplied oil overfilled the oil pan and leaked out, and because of that, overflowed a bit while running.
My next biggest issue of the day was taking off the side access panel. It's easy enough with some initial force, but it would have been nice if it was toolless (which is the reason for 4, not 5, stars).
I ran it for 5 hours with variable loads. It ran my smoker and provided a meal for the evening. It was nice and quiet, too.
Overall, for the one day, it was a worthwhile investment. I'll be updating my review if anything changes.

I replaced my Champion generator of equal size and features with this one and I'm quite pleased! It's much quieter and is quite efficient and very easy to use. A lot of thought and engineering went into this machine. Even keeping up with maintenance is easier due to the display and design. I highly recommend!
