iGen2500 is great to backup your Fridge + some appliances

I bought two of these generators recently (one for me and one for my Mother In-law and just tried one of them out in my garage. They are very, very quiet and seem to power up my appliances pretty good with no outages. I believe they will easily provide back-up power to a refrigerator and some appliances such as a television, fish tank pump, and such. They are only 2200 Watts steady power so you shouldn't expect them to power up much more than what I stated above.

Quiet, Easy set-up, great instructions

Started on the second pull. An inverter for backup in Florida. Irma was bad enough to make this investment and avoid living without power for two weeks again. With good care hopefully it will last many years.

Powerful, easy to start, and quiet.

We took the iGen 2500 on its first camping trip and it performed great. Our 1 year batteries were not holding a charge so the iGen got a workout. It started with 1 or 2 pulls everytime. It was "surgie" at first, but stopped after we used the microwave.

Works Well, But Case Mis-Assembled

This unit was received with a mis-assembled case, such that the splash shield was not seated properly and could have provided a path for fuel to enter the case had I not noticed it before adding fuel. It was a simple fix involving a few screws and a c-clip to get everything assembled properly. After that, the generator worked fine and was as quiet as expected.

Does the Job, But Not Well Packed

I tested the generator and it works well and is as quiet as expected. It arrived on my front porch in an oil-soaked carton that was barely holding together. Luckily, there was no shipping damage to the unit. The oil bottle inside was fine, so I can only assume that the bottle in the carton stacked above it in the warehouse leaked down onto it.

I test run my iGen 2500 and it started right up with no issues at all.It was super quiet and very effective.The product came with almost all the things you needed to start it up.The only missing thing was the gas which i know was for safety reasons.It was super easy to set up and operate.The instructions in the manual were pretty easy to follow..it's very economical as far fuel efficiency is concerned.It's the best generator out there in its division and I highly recommend it to everybody.
