I bought this in case of a prolonged power outage to power my freezer and fridge. I haven't had to use it yet but setup was easy. It's fairly quiet, we could carry on a conversation while standing right next to it. I'm almost looking forward to an excuse to use it!

I purchased identical generators at the same time, but one runs smoother and less noisy than the other. Each has run longer following its first oil change.
Neither displays the automatic rotating data numbers indicated in the user manual. When filled with fuel, each has a different number. About an hour before each generator runs out of fuel, the display reads "F00."
I wouldn't call either unit quiet, but maybe they are in comparison to other generators.

So after A LOT of research on portable generators in the 2,200W and 2,500W range, watching YouTube Videos, and even going to a few stores to check some out, I chose the iGen2500. I really wanted the camo one, but couldn't find one anywhere. :( Maybe because it's camouflaged... Ha!
Westinghouse has a phenomenal reputation for it's quality products, it has the digital display for estimated running time, fuel level, output wattage, lifetime hours and more. The fact that you can see how many running hours it has so you know when to change the oil etc, is a huge bonus. I also like that it has an self venting fuel cap where I don't have to turn it on and off each time. One less step to start it.
I added the oil that came with it, added gas, and it started up on the first pull. It's a well built machine and definitely a higher quality than some of the others I looked at. I'm very happy with my purchase and hoping it will last me a long time.
If George Westinghouse (and Nikola Tesla) can build generators for Niagara Falls, they can build one for me. :) Westinghouse has been building quality generators longer than anyone else.
