Failed to function out of the box

This is the second IGen 2500 I have purchased. The first seems to work ok, though I’ve not used it for any extended period yet.
This one will only start on on choke but cuts off when switched to run and it will not produce any power
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

2nd unit with problems

The first unit I bought would not start, even after I followed all of the manufacturers suggestions. The second unit started after about 10 pulls. A puddle of gas quicklky formed on my garage floor. I opened up the side and found the gas leaking from under the carb.
The second unit will be repaired under warranty.

Bought this as a backup for my house when the power goes down to power the refrigerator mostly. Also may use it on my boat to charge batteries. Runs quietly and seems to do the job. When you start it for the first time, it will take a number of pulls to get it to start as apparently you need to get gasoline thru the carburetor. Then it starts easily with one pull after that.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Runs everything well, when running

I bought this item 6 months ago. It ran fine at the time and I use it to run a small air conditioner on my camper. When the a/c is on high, the inverter shows that it is at half power. It runs the air conditioner well and is relatively quiet for a generator, but after about 4 months, it started shutting off for no reason. It will run for about 15 minutes with no problems, but it won't stay running.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Excellent for jobs away from electrical outlets

Purchased 07/31/2020, I have used a couple of times where I had no electricity and needed it to power my tools for use. Made the work very pleasant not having to return to an electrical outlet then back to the job site.

Great compromize on size, weight and power.

With 2500 peak watts, this is just a bit bigger than the usual 2000ish watt generators I was looking for to power my RV's 13.5K air conditioner while boondocking. It does successfully start my AC if I have absolutely everything else turned off. (May add a soft start capacitor to the AC to ease the startup load) Wish the access panel to check the oil was toolless like the spark plug access panel. Great compromize on size, weight and power.
