I have been using this for electricity for my camper. It starts on the first pull and has plenty of power even when running the air conditioner.

Haven't had to use it yet, but it was very easy to set up and cranked on the first pull. I'm a 63 yo female so I was happy to have something I can use on my own.

Best features in compact generator

Pleased with this generator so far. I looked for a long time and this unit simply had the best performance and features for the price.
After adding gas & oil, generator started up on first pull. Extremely quiet at idle with eco mode on. Add a load to it and the engine speed ramps up, but it is still very quiet even at full load. I've tested it to about 1600 watts using a space heater and it handles it effortlessly. I'll wait to fully load it until I've finished the break-in.
The digital display really sets this apart from other generators in this size and price range. The display will let you cycle through voltage, output power (in kW), lifetime hours, fuel quantity remaining (in liters), and time remaining on fuel. All the functions seem to work just fine and the power output was accurate. You just can't find this feature set in other generators, especially the lifetime hours which is helpful for me to schedule oil changes and such.
If first impressions count, this generator is a winner. The big question is long term reliability and that is an unknown. I have a large Westinghouse generator (their W9500DF) that I bought a year ago that has been a tank-- it's a great generator, so I have high hopes that the quality and reliability of this model will be similar.

Right unit for the money.

So far shipping, timing, and initial try out have been what I'm looking for for easily putting on the van to use when power is needed.
Tried out with one of our largest drills and supported the power so far with no load.
Pretty confident it will handle working under a drilling load as well.
The price for what you get makes it worth while.

Good option for house backup (one 20Acircuit only)

I bought this to run critical loads for the house during power outages. I finally got around to running a full load test today and it worked just as expected. I just added oil and gas and it started right up. I then connected loads one by one. Of course you have to look at the loads you want to connect, running and start-up, and get a generator of the right size, but I was able to run my furnace, hot water heater, sump pump, full size refrigerator, and computer/internet/wifi all at the same time. I also took the time to install a dedicated generator circuit in the basement so that I can just plug the generator into one spot, then connect extension cords to those receptacles (see photos, very convenient). I used a Reliance Transfer Switch TW151 for the furnace circuit connection (see separate review for that, easy install). You should have an electrician do any wiring and install the transfer switch if you use one of course!
It's pretty quiet, but that was not a big concern for me. The eco mode works: the motor ramps up and down depending on the load. I also like the info panel where you can toggle between power output in kW, fuel level, runtime remaining, and voltage. I didn't think I'd use that but it is pretty neat. This is the first I've started it up so can't speak to longevity or reliability but so far, so good.
