2nd Igen purchase - another winner

My first Igen purchase was 5 years for the 2000ixlt. It’s still running strong and continues to start on one pull. We use it for camping and only done the recommended maintenance. I wanted another for home use and added power during potential blackouts for the upcoming fire season here in Northern California. The Igen2500 should power the refrigerator and freezer with enough to spare to run some lights, tv and computers. If I need more I still have my trusty 2000 (actually puts out 2200). Today it arrived and I did some tests. First I filled with oil, then treated gas (always because of sitting between uses). Then pulled the engine through a few times to lubricate and until compression. A strong pull and it started on the first pull. Hurray! After warming up, I put a 1500 heat gun on to check accuracy on the data display, right on! Plugged in my circular saw and ran both and it maxed out just above 2200 watts but held the load with voltage at 122v. I like that unit only weighs 2#s more than the smaller one and the physical size is the same. Another bonus is it is slightly quieter than the 2000 I think due to more sound insulation. The only drawback is the gas tank is a little smaller, but not enough to create an issue. All in all, Westinghouse did an excellent job again in the design of this model.

2nd one I’ve owned. Has all the same features as the high dollar inverters at a fraction of the cost. Recommend them highly to anyone looking.

Great Generator

I bought this generator for my RV as my previous one was much bigger and louder. This generator still provides me with all the power I need while camping. The generator is much quieter and easier to move around.

Upon initial start-up it started after the second pull - a positive surprise. The noise level is very low with very limited vibration. No problem handling normal loads as they were added. Overall an excellent value for the cost.

Solid Generator for RV

I bought this for a month long summer RV trip. We wanted a single suitcase unit that start our AC. I didn't want to have to use 2 units, or buy a 100+ lb unit.
The IGen2500 fits the bill. We installed an "Easystart" unit on our A/C and this unit cranks it just fine, with power left over to run several other items (other than a microwave).
It starts on the first pull every time. I really like the dashboard readout, that tells you how much gas and run time you have remaining, and has an hour meter.
I called customer service to inquire about high altitude jets for the carbuerator, and they were great, very helpful.
The noise level is comparable to Honda. The tone/pitch is a little higher, which makes it a little more noticeable. But a low loads it purrs. At high loads and a 50ft extension cord, it is certainly noticeable, but not bothersome.

Runs good and easy to start
