Great size and features

We purchased this after the ice storm in Texas and prior to hurricane season so we will be prepared for future emergency needs. Being without heat or A/C for extended periods is not something we want to go thru ever again! The compact size, features and ability to parallel operation with another iGen2500/2200 made our decision very easy.

I bought this generator two weeks ago; perfect!

I bought this Westinghouse iGen2500 two weeks ago. Simple and easy to set up, just add the oil that came with the generator and gasoline and it cranked right up on the third pull. I let it warm up and then started connecting all of my appliances, 15,000 BTU AC, heater, refrigerator, and all the lights on our travel trailer. All appliances and lights work flawlessly running simultaneously. Very portable with a carry handle built in right on the top of the generator. Highly recommended for unknown emergencies.

iGen 2500 Inverter Generator

Purchased this generator for camping with our travel trailer and for backup during power outages at home. Great features, weighs just 48 lbs and runs quietly.

Lacking Rated Power - No Surge Power

Running my camper through a Hughes Power Watchdog for voltage and amp reading. I can adjust my inverter maximum input power to load the generator to specific power outputs. Here are my results at ~ 35ft above see level @ 80F through ~25' of 10/3 SOOW. Running ethanol free 87 octane.
- 119V at 17.3 amps genset reads 100% on the display (2058 Watts)
- 118V at 18.5 amps genset reads 100% plus the overload light is on (2183 Watts)
- As soon as I ramp up to 19 amps the genset disconnects on overload
- 118V at 18.5 amps genset reads 100% plus the overload light is on (2183 Watts)
- As soon as I ramp up to 19 amps the genset disconnects on overload
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
