Great packaging and support literature. Initial startup perfect. Tested on a variety of home appliances including hair dryers, air fryers, etc. and it handled all with ease. Love Eco-mode for quiet ops and fuel conservation. Love USBs.

Best Portable Generator Ever

I bought this a month ago a just pulled it out of the box. First off love that the funnel for the oil screws in!! Second, I was surprised on how quite it is! Third, you can pair another generator to it!! Weather has been crazy lately and it seems like its getting worse! I am so glad I am getting myself prepared!! This generator is going to come in handy!!

EASY TO START!

It was surprisingly easy to start and fairly easy to carry! I read the manual from cover to cover and found everything clearly explained and all the "cautions" emphasized. I decided to test it out, being that it's my first generator. I followed the pre-operating instructions and filled it with the provided oil and recommended gasoline. Then I followed the starting procedures and pulled the recoil handle and it started on the 4th pull. Now I can sleep better at night knowing I'm prepared for the next power outage in my neighborhood.

Low cost Gen option

Got instant savings at sc making it worth it.
Using for running some appliance and electronics during sporadic power outages
And as a tailgate generator to run tv stereo charge electronics and a number of small cooking appliances. Just realize that at the full 2500 and 15 amps you will need some heavy duty ($$$) extension cords especially if you need more than 50 feet. Also suggest buying a quart of full syn oil that will max your operating temp range.
Too soon to have anything to say about longevity and reliability

GOOD SIZE

We bought this model for security during power outages which are common in our area. It seems to be the right power for our home to keep lights, refrigerator and freezer running. So far, we are very pleased. It is easy to start and measures rated voltage and power and gasoline amount.

My second iGen 2500

This is my 2nd Westinghouse iGen 2500 purchase. Its a solid inverter generator for the money. I’ve purchased the connecting cable to double the power output too. Its not the quietest generator out there but its not too loud either. A good value for what you get. The digital readouts and fuel gauge are nice. I’ll use it for backup power during emergencies & for camping (but it will be a bit too loud for campgrounds). If I could give 1/2 stars I would give it 4.5 stars, with a 1/2 star removed for noise. Otherwise, its great.
