Quite operation

We are replacing a Honda 3000is with 2 iGen 2500's. They are much easier to get around the camper. They are just as quite as the red one!

iGen2500: First Impressions

This is my 2nd WH portable generator. I've been pretty happy with my WHi2200xlt and hope this model measures up. This one arrived in good condition and I've been pleased with some of the thoughtful design features. These include the tethered fuel cap, wide mouth refueling port and an easily identifiable full mark.
After the required servicing the generator started on the second pull, the standard I've come to expect from my earlier purchase. Nothing scientific but this seems to run slightly louder than the 2200. It may be a difference in tone, and its certainly nothing unexpected with a somewhat larger engine.
Not much to quibble about, but if I did it would be:
Maintenance access. I don't know why, but none of these small generator manufacturers seem to think about making the access hatches tool-free. Given the required frequency of oil checks and changes it seems to me that some D-Ring screws could be designed to hold the covers in place.
