Works great. I've only used it using propane fuel. It starts on 2nd or 3rd run of the starter motor except when the temperature is near O° F then it will start by the 5th cycle of the starter motor. Best of all, no more hauling gasoline. Propane tanks are way easier to haul in the car. I'm planning on having it hooked up to the 500 gallon tank by next winter.
We bought this to extend our time on the road when we didn't want to stop at an RV park. The idea being to stop at travel centers, refuel, vent tanks and spend the night. This allows an early departure the next morning to make time to be where we want to be. The natural gas feature allows us to transport fuel for the generator in a safer and more sturdy manner than cans of gasoline. This also allows a fuel source to share with the coach for cooking and cleaning as needed.
I bought this generator as a back up in case of a power failure. It arrived early and was in good condition. I connected to propane and it fired up right away. My tester indicated that it was producing power as designed. Very happy so far.
Because we do not have a garage I need to store this outside in a shed, gasoline would be very dangerous to store So having a generator that works on propane is excellent for me.
Opened it up, put in the oil, and tested it out. Started on a couple pulls. Loving that I can use propane. Planning on getting a couple 100# tanks to swap back and forth. Runs smooth. Not too loud. Easy to operate. Just need it for the fridge and sump pump during extended power outages, which is well within this unit's limits.
