I bought this generator in August. It has worked for the most part. Had a few issues with carbon monoxide auto shutting off. But seems to running again.

This is my second Westinghouse Dual Fuel Generator in the past 4 years. The first came damaged and stopped working shortly after the warranty expired. I made sure this one looked perfect before accepting. I will keep up on posting as things progress

Easy Setup
on September 22, 2024

Out of the box, the unit was easy to setup. It came with the wheels off and no engine oil in it, but those items were in the box. The easy-to-read documentation walked me through the process; install wheels and legs (wrench included in box), add engine oil (in box), add gas or hookup propane, make sure it's outside, recheck engine oil, make sure nothing is plugged into it, connect the battery quick disconnect, select voltage (I could not find a voltage selector on this generator, nor a reference to it in the manual), check circuit breakers, choose fuel source selector (gas or propane), if gas, set fuel cock to on (it's carbureted), switch unit to on, hold start/stop button for one second. At this point, the unit starts itself. Once running, devices may be plugged in. It ran perfectly. I plugged a motorcycle drier in (700 watts), and when I turned the drier on, the unit strained for a second and then stabilized. I did this twice, then unplugged the drier. I let the unit run for several minutes until it was well up to operating temperature, then shut it down by holding the stop button for a couple seconds to let the unit heat soak. I then tried to restart it and it started right up. I need this unit to run my refrigerators, freezers, and LED lights during power failures. When not used for that purpose, I will use it for power tools around my acreage. It is lightweight at only 120 pounds plus gas weight. It has a handle and rolls easily. It would be hard to go wrong with this unit, provided you do the math for wattage...Volts x Amps = Watts required...

I bought this generator for my tailgate. I was surprised at how quiet it is and it uses very little gas.

I researched generators and found this dual fuel piece of mind. We had a bad storm 4 weeks ago and lost power for 20 hours. Never again will that happen.

Easy to operate

I'm an older single woman and needed an easy generator just in case of winter power outages. The remote start makes it easy to start from in the house, dual fuel, so I can airways have a full propane tank handy so I don't need to run for gas in a storm. Seems very easy to operate
