Just received my generator, easy setup, wish the oil funnel was a little longer and wider top, but other than that easy setup and does not detract from the product at all as I already had better funnels to use. .
Ran it for 1/2 hour on propane and then another 1/2 on gas, put on a load and no problems or issues at all.
The remote start is a nice feature, the electronic start in general is great as well, and I did make it a point to try the manual pull start as well, which worked fine.
other than monthly start up I hope to never use it for real but good to know I have a good product to rely on if needed
Went w this generator over one that was 4000 running watts because it's still gonna give me 30amps continuous w the convenience of remote/electric start.
I have an 86RV and really just needed a generator that was not too big but did the job and this generator was perfect. Also was very easy to set up and get running. The remote start is a great addition as well and the duel fuel capabilities!
Bought this to use with our travel trailer and around the house. Starts easy and right away. Generated more than enough power for the job it was purchased for. More than worth the money.
After reading lots of generator reviews on many sites we decided that Westinghouse must have a great product. The generator arrived with a few dings on the frame but nothing too serious considering that the bottom of the box was ripped apart and wet with oil. The seal on the bottle of oil had been cut and oil was leaking from the cap. Now we need more oil before we start it up. It was simple to assemble the wheel kit and we are confident that it will be ready if and when we get another Emergency Blackout.
We had researched a lot of different generators prior to selecting the Westinghouse WGen3600DFV. We compared reviews, value, wattage for gas and propane, noise level, size and weight. We really liked all of the features that this one had. There were also a lot of really good ratings.
We like the smaller footprint size of this generator to easily store in our garage. We also like the ability to use gas or propane. Plus, the other advantage is that the weight makes it easy to move around. When comparing this generator with others we chose the Westinghouse for the size, total wattage, and sound level. Another key factor in our decision was the weight since many competitors were just too heavy to lift or move. We also ordered the wheel kit separately and installed it. For the wheel kit the washers for the wheels were a little thick for the cotter pin to slide in so my husband substituted the washers with a slightly thinner one and they installed perfectly.
One key point when unpacking is the LPG/propane hose with regulator is tucked up by the engine so be sure to check under the frame for it when you unbox or before starting. Overall, we are happy with our purchase and plan to order another Westinghouse generator.
