I bought this generator to back up the undependable Texas power grid and to power my entertainment equipment and mini-fridge while out on the back side of the property. Runs like a Swiss watch and makes great, clean power.
I bought this a few weeks ago, prepped it, and first pull it started. Runs great and has a smooth running speed. Have used used for outdoor power tools and will be emergency backup to the home.
Had a bad fuel tube coming off the tank. The tube is multilayered and apparently the innertube got pushed into the outer sheath and was folded over against the nipple so when I went to run the unit for the first time, I opened the fuel shutoff valve and fuel started dripping. I replaced the tube. In addition, the instructions should include an initial break-in run. Upon the first start I had to leave the choke on, otherwise it would die out. After it ran a little with the choke on, the generator was revving up and down with the choke off, so I ran it at half choke for a while. I eventually got it running with the choke off and it was running nice and smooth.
I bought this generator to power us through the occasional loss of electricity during winter storms. I bought an optional power cord to expand the 30A outlet to 3 additional 110V outlets for extension cords. Im pleased with the unit as well as the length of the warranty in case something should go wrong.
