The generator came after a backlog of about 2 months. Setup was easy and it fired right up after putting gas into it. it is every bit as quite as the comparable competitor units for twice the money. push button start and keyfob remote are a nice touch.

Great features

I bought it and got it in a few days ago and have been running it and breaking it in and so far so good. So far it does leak a little bit of oil and I'm trying to find where it's coming from. The longer I run it the less it's leaking so I don't know if some spilt when I was filling it up or the drain plug may not be tightened up enough from the factory draining the oil out of it after they tested it before they sent it out. I'm hoping it's one of the two. Time will tell.

I bought the 4500DF very recently. I live in a rural, mountainous area, and frequent outages to my cabin required to finally get a backup generator. Dual fuel, inverter, and so quiet! I placed it on my deck by a window and barely sounds like an in wall AC unit! Plenty of power for my fridge and router so I can keep connected to the net. I also loved that the unit came with everything to get’r up and running in minutes, big up for a gen novice like me. Now I have peace of mind I’ll have power during these unprecedented outages. Thumbs up, Westinghouse!

I think I got a lemon

Normally I would have left 5 stars because I initially loved this generator. It was so compact, powerful, and easy to crank. And who wouldn’t love that remote control cutoff? However, after owning it for like two weeks, we noticed that if the battery for the remote start ran down, we couldn’t even crank it by hand. Isn’t that the purpose of a generator? To generate power when there is none? Needless to say that’s been frustrating. Then my pull cord snapped in two. It’s January. We got this thing in like November. So I think I got a lemon. But I’m optimistic that this is an unusual case and that it’ll get better.

just bought this it is a great product worth the money, love the wheels it is quiet and the rolling handle is such a plus,would recommend it, shipping was very fast customer service is great
