Good features for a good price

I just pulled it out of the box the other day. Started it up and it wasn't noisy like some other generators. Sure like the pull handle.

Just followed the instructions and it started right up. Runs smooth and quiet. Remote preprogrammed. Battery charged. It is everything I expected. Very pleased.

Great Dual Fuel Generator

I live in a condo complex where noise is an issue as well as storing fuel (gasoline). Upon searching for an emergency generator I needed one that was quiet and had enough power to run my food freezer/refrigerator and possibly my forced air natural gas furnace. The iGen 4500 Westinghouse Dual Fuel Inverter Generator was exactly what I needed. It has enough power and more for my situation and used propane that is safer to store. Our condo board had no issues approving the unit for temporary power outages.
Upon receiving the generator, the set up was very simple.......add oil, connect the battery and propane tank and hit the start button. The unit fired up immediately. Directions/instruction book were well written. I took time to watch some you tube videos also. Other than the weight is a bit more than I expected, the very nice extension handle makes the unit easy to move. So far this appears to be a quality
product.

I wanted a higher output generator that runs on gas or propane, is quiet, is relatively easy to move, and had remote start. This is the one.

I purchased my first iGen4500DF a little over a month ago. It arrived and I checked it all over before getting started to be sure nothing was cracked or broken. Everything looked great. I hooked the battery up, put the oil in and filled it with gas. I tried to start it and it would not fire. After several attempts I realized it was not getting fuel. I hooked the propane up and it started right away. I let it run for a few minutes and tried running it on gas again. No luck. I went through the instructions a few times looking for a gas shut off but I couldn’t find anything of assistance. I checked online and found people had problems with the choke so I tried that with no success. I checked the bowl and got fuel. I contacted Westinghouse for help. I was told it was a faulty unit and they provided me with an email to start a claim. After a couple days they sent me another email letting me know I could return the generator to the store before the 30 days was up. I ordered a new one and then returned the first one without issue. The second generator arrived and the box was beat up but the everything inside appeared fine. This time it started on gas and propane without issue. This is a nice generator and runs quiet. I like having the option of gas or propane and feel it was worth the extra money. Overall I think this is a good generator and I understand sometimes even new parts are not manufactured properly. I believe the issue with my first generator was the fuel selector switch but I did not want to get to far into a repair or claim since I was able to return it without issue.
