Lightweight

Lots of power for a lightweight unit. Easy to put oil in. Easy to hook up to propane tank.

Never worked properly

I previously wrote a positive review so that I could get the cover. We have only been able to get this thing actually going 1 time and only with gasoline. Its reasonably quiet and I thought it would work out great but I was wrong.
1- we specifically bought this model for its duel fuel capabilities. We planned on primarily using it with propane. When we tried to test at home it wouldn't work. It appeared the regular was faulty. We called westinhouse and they agreed to send us a "new" regulator. We had a camping trip coming up and thought ok we'll just use gas. Went and got gas. Tested it. Worked.
2- 2 days later we are boondocking and go to fire it up because it's 95 degrees outside and we wanted to run our small campers AC. Wouldn't start. After multiple tries it finally sounds like it's going to turn on but on the last pull the handle completely separated from the string! So now it's useless.
We cut out camping trip short and drove 4 hours home early.
Westinhouse agreed to send us a new cord kit.
3- we received the regular and cord kit in the mail. He regular was clearly used. Which isn't a huge deal, but it's annoying to be putting used parts on a brand new product. The cord kit was broken!! The cord was cut so that was again useless. They sent us out another and ita intact but it's not a straightforward fix. I'm not a mechanic I shouldn't have to take apart a brand new machine.
I'm extremely disappointed that we spent so much money on a product that we have never actually been able to use.

Quick and easy setup!

I bought two of these units. They are easy to setup: they give you exact oil amount and your running! Did have bad regulator for LPG out of the box but going to test their warranty now and get that swapped out!

Good support - must open vent on fuel cap

I contacted the company with questions about the manual and received good, clear answers within a day or two. The page in the manual with instructions about starting the generator neglects to mention that the vent must be open on the gasoline tank cap even when propane is being used instead of gasoline. Also, they clarified that references to a gasoline "fuel valve" (which is not shown on any of the panel diagrams in the manual) should instead be understood as meaning the "fuel selector switch" because that rotating switch is used to make contact with the actual fuel valve inside the case.

Light weight & useful

Everything in the description is as described. It is light weight and adaptable dual fuel for either gas or propane. The instructions are pretty straight forward. I see it as a viable back-up for emergencies or travel.
