Good first impression

This just arrived and I have yet to put it to the test in a power outage. Unpack and set-up were simple and easy. It is quite heavy, but once the wheels are in place, fairly easy to maneuver. I'm planning to run it on natural gas but have not confirmed the supply hose requirements. I'm hoping the Westinghouse web site will guide me to a correct NG supply hose. I used the included propane regulator to fire it up and test some light loads. It started right up.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Safety first

Purchased as my first generator for Home use. My electrician recommended this generator as one of the best for my purposes. The instructions are clear and easy to understand. There’s very little assembly required. Safety is at the forefront with great labeling and the manual as well and highly recommend this.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I just purchased this WGen11500TFc portable generator to power my home the next time we lose power. We just went 8 days without it and used a much older and smaller size unit that got us through but some luxuries weren't able to be used. I have not used this unit yet but my first observations are that the motor doesn't use an oil filter like my older one. There are a lot of bells and whistles on this that I fear may cause problems down the road. CO monitor states if you disconnect it, the unit is inoperable. Lets hope that doesn't go bad. The electric start push button,main circuit breaker and the fuel selector don't appear or feel very robust. The unit does offer about everything you can ask for for ease and versatility so I'm hopeful. Its very heavy to unload so if you aren't strong get a helper. I slid it down ramps to get it on the ground from my pickup. Assembly was pretty simple by myself. A couple of small pieces of 2x4 on their sides will make the wheel and stand assembly very simple. I also like that it was shipped with oil and a battery charger.

Just took delivery of this generator this weekend. I've been really impressed with it so far. It is replacing a 20 year old generator that ran my whole house. So, it has some big shoes to fill. But it has some great reviews and so far so good with this one.
