Necessity in Florida?

I bought it and installed a transfer switch to use in case of a possible power outage in my state of Florida as hurricane season is upon us. I haven't used it yet, and I hope I never really need it, but I still enjoy the comfort and peace of mind it provides....

I bought this generator in anticipation of hurricane season to power the key appliances in my home. The wheels and stabilizers were easy to install. I plan to test it first using gasoline and will eventually hook it up to nat gas.
