iGen4500 won't start

I just bought this and have not been able to get it to start. The Manual pull is missing and the Electric start doesn't even kick the motor over. I'm pretty disappointed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Excellent Unit

The wife and I just bought our first a new Travel Trailer. Graduated from a Tent Trailer. We needed a Generator that would not only meet the power needs of our trailer, but would be allowed within the National Parks. This Generator meets those needs as well as it's 1/3 the price of similar competitive models. I won't mention names but the initials are H and Y.... Right out of the box, I filled the oil, gas and connected the battery, started up on first pull, and the electric stat with remote. I am very please and would recommend Westinghouse's iGen line to all future Campers.

It is exactly what I expected ... decently built and very quiet. Started right up after putting in gas,oil and connecting battery.. Runs very smooth and starts easy, can't even hear it .. had lots of power .. the oil will overflow if you use all of the bottle like it says ..very satisfied so far

Pros: Great power, great price, compact size, reasonable weight, big gas tank Cons: Electric start button not working Can only pull or remote start RV plug upside down Case doesn't line up in a few places Handle design is lacking

Very compact and versatile for the amount of power it provides. Ideal for camping. Operates everything on our RV efficiently.
