Added oil like the quick start guide said, added about 2 gallons of gas and plugged the battery terminals . It started on the first pull on the pull cord. I ran it for about 5 minutes, shut it down then started with the push of a button, started right up. Shut it down and started it with the remote which by the way is awesome. This unit runs so quiet . I made the right choice buying Westinghouse instead of Honda. I am extremely impressed.
Review did not let me select the iGen2500, so I chose next closest option in the list provided by Westinghouse. Used it to power 30 ft Jayco camper with 15,000 btu AC unit. It actually worked. Had to run full power vs econ mode, but it worked. This little generator works great. In econ mode it's very quiet and runs all night on 1 gal of gas.
Haven't used it yet, but appears to have arrived in good condition and what I need. I am concerned upon very recently learning it should be operated at least 15 ft from house and that I cannot use it from my shed.
I was worried after the many reviews, but this is a great generator. After the breaking process, I took this to my hunting camp. For 48 hours this little giant was a power horse. -Very quiet -Fuel consumption - one fuel tank lasted 21 hours with heater, microwave, and trailer usage. -Easy to transport ( I could load this in my truck be myself unlike my old one)
I did install an hours meter on before using the machine.
I have gas heat so I can run the furnace when the power is out. I can keep my aquarium operating and my TV going without taxing this unit at all with plenty to spare. It is easy to move around and to store.
