I purchased the iGen4500 to power my 5th Wheel when power is not available at a National or State Park. It is exactly what I was looking for as it: is quiet; RV ready with the 30 Amp outlet; features an LED display with remaining fuel, load/output, volts and remaining runtime,
Super quiet, can have a normal conversation right next to it.Will run everything in most RV'S . Easily runs all night on a tank of gas. Way less expensive than the other known brand. 3 year warranty!
I bought it to use when dry camping and keep hours off my Built in generator. It runs a 15k Ac unit no problem. It wont run the micro and AC at the same time but any other combo of devices is fine. Pretty quiet when using low power, about the same as my Honda 2000. But when you pull a larger load it is a little louder, but not obnoxious. Honestly even then its tough to hear while in the coach.
I did a lot of research before choosing the iGen4500 and found nothing on the market that had comparable starting and running wattage, remote start and stop, and built-in wheels and dragging handle for the advertised MSRP (and I found it for less than the MSRP). I have a new RV and my old Honda 3000 wouldn't power the AC. I also really wanted a remote start/stop. Everything else in this price range (or higher) is only in the 3200 - 3500 starting watt range. Admittedly, I haven't used it camping yet; I just took it out of the box today. Set up was extremely easy. The oil, funnel, and very easy to follow instructions were included. I took me about 10 minutes to read the instructions, put in the oil and gas, and plug in the battery (which was pre-charged with 12.7 volts). I pushed the remote start button and it started up within 3 seconds. I tested everything and it all worked. It runs about as quiet as my Honda inverter, with way more features. They also included a plug in AC powered battery charger and sparkplug wrench.
I've only had this for less than a month but this generator is really quiet and the remote start is awesome. I bought this for my RV which I have set up at my Hunting Club.
