Bought as backup for on board Onan 4000. Have owned 3 new RVs & all Onans fail during warranty and then again out of it. Have one more race untill summer break and then can get it to shop/ and hope its back in 9 weeks. Had Generac in motor home for 9.5 years & never any issues with my personal routine service. Ran iGen inverter 15M and then for 2 hours with 15K A/C on. Showed 50% with compressor running &big drop when compressor is off (on energy saver) and r.p.m drops. Will know more about capabilities after next 3 day use. It is a little louder than other inverters I have observed at races but quiter than Champion 4000/3500 generator. 50 hour oil changes will be a drawback but only holds .6 quart of oil. Guess that makes it necessary.
This was probably the easiest startup of a new piece of equipment I have ever done. Put oil and gas in the generator and push the button on the key fob. It was that simple. It started immediately and ran great. I ran it at low speed on eco mode for one hour and then changed oil just as a safety precaution. I was impressed how quiet the thing ran. I hooked it up to our travel trailer via the rv outlet provided (No adapters necessary) and it worked great. I ran both refrigerators, the 13,500 air unit and lights and only pulled a max of 2.4k on the meter so there was plenty of power left. Great little machine so far!
very quiet and powerfull generator that looks cool as well. I love all the features it has but i did have the auto choke issue to where i had to manually move it just to get it to start. except for that issue i love the machine
I did a lot of research before purchasing this product. The features sold me on this model. The power, size, remote start and quietness were the features I was looking.
