Started right up and run our fifth wheel. Will know more as we get some time on the unit. We really like the small size, it fits nicely in our front bay.
Just took generator out for the first time camping and the remote start was awesome. Didn’t have any issues with it. Both of our friends have onboard onan generators and had issues all weekend. very happy with this purchase
We bought this because it was advertised with having remote start and is quite. it has lived up to the 2 best parts of the generator. It is great for our RV. Overall it is perfect for what our needs are.
Great little generator! I had it for about 2 weeks when the power went out from a tropical storm, fired right up and ran it for about 11 hours straight and it still had 5 hours of gas left. Really quiet and powerful, I couldn’t even hear it running inside the house.
Just got this unit yesterday and so far so good. I fired the unit up and it is extremely quiet and I am very impressed so far. The strap that holds the battery was actually cut but I have a call out to Westinghouse to get a replacement. Looks like I get to test out their service.
Connected this through an interlock kit into the whole house. Runs everything. Although needed to grab some power from the regular outlets to capture the whole 4500 peak. I run the refrigerator off of that set of outlets and the RV plug goes into the power panel. I created my own cable to split the single hot lead into two that go to both hots in a L14-30 then to a double 30 amp breaker which then powers both legs of the panel. You can't get 240 of course, but you can use all 120 circuits that way. Get an interlock kit or use a cutover panel; only safe way to ensure you don't energize the main utility grid and kill a lineman.
