I am 75 years old and needed a generator that was easy to move but also had enough power to run several things during a power outage. This generator is perfect for that and it is so quiet. I could not hear it while inside my house.
Bought this to use with travel trailer and for power outages at home. This has been good so far, started right up out of the box. It has the RV plug built in and fulfills all power needs in the trailer, no issues. Expect several years of use.
I looked at several inverter generators before buying the iGen 4500. It's the quietest available with 4500/3700 Watts starting/running power. I primarily bought it to keep my fridge/freezer running during power outages, which seem to be happening more often where I live. Since I live in the city (suburbs) I didn't want to disturb the neighbors, particularly those that don't have power of their own. It's very easy to move about with the pull out handle and wheels. I'm still in the break-in and test phase, but if it keeps operating as well as it has been, I'm probably going to pick up another for my daughter.
I just purchased this Igen4500 and am completely satisfied with my purchase. It has amazing power output, packed into a small portable unit. It fits in my trailer outside pass through storage. Also the features are amazing. Digital readout, fuel gauge, timer, power output, etc. Extremely portable with wheels and carry handles. Quiet running. The build quality is better than comparable products. ONAN/Cummins 4500 Generator is the same unit, different branding.
