I recently bought this generator after reviewing multiple other ones and this is my favourite one it has tan with no issues the remote fob worked right out of box unlike others where you have to take it apart to plug in a box and wires. I have used westing house products on a daily basis as a electrician and I was happy to find they produced a generator that fits my camping needs. This generator is quieter then other manufacturers in the same wattage rating
I would recommend this to a friend!

Bad experience

Out of the box, I've had nothing but issues. Push button start won't work. Remote start won't work. The manual start works 50/50. I tried to fix the choke and manual start worked once and then got stuck again. Tried charging the battery overnight hoping that would fix it. Nothing. Even pulled off all the covers to look for a commonly disconnected cable and that was hooked up just fine. Will try replacing the spark plug and if that doesn't work, it gets shipped back.
This has been a nightmare. Was supposed to use for a camping trip in the next few days.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

iGen4500 generator

I bought this unit in April and just got a chance to open it to see how it worked. I was a little disappointed when it would not start. Customer service was helpful and sent a technical bulletin to show me how to get it running. They have a plug that comes undone during shipping. After watching youtube videos I found this is a common problem. I would recommend they put a lockable plug instead of one that will come off during shipping. I was able to fix it but when it is brand new I should not have to take it apart to get it running. other than that so far it seems to work well with the problem fixed.
