Very happy with the Westinghouse iGen4500 digital inverter generator. Added the oil (included), gas, hooked up the batter and it started up the first time with the key fob. My previous rv had a "Quiet" built-in generator but my new iGen4500 is 1/4th the price and it is just as quiet as my old built-in generator. I was hesitant about adding the oil as I could see a possible spill inside the enclosed unit. No worries: An oil spout is included that actually screws into the oil filler hole. Break in period of 4 hours is recommended (max 50%), but it runs great. As the load increases/decreases, the rpm's rise/file per the specs. LED's are easy to read, including the fuel and run time remaining. Will have it running the RV in a few more days! I am a happy camper!
We bought this to supplement our RV power when we are unable to hook up to power. It does just fine and we are able to use all we want/need with it hooked up. Super quiet!
Powers all of my fifth wheel camper single A/C. Changed oil after first day of use (12 hours). Would recommend to change oil way earlier. Did have a lot of metallic in the oil. Ran great started right up. Around hour 6 it started surging and had to clean carburetor jet. But it is definitely louder than a Honda 3000. Like the digital display but wish you could change unit of measurement. Does burn the grass behind generator. Overall good generator so far.
Purchased a month ago and had some choke issues. Found that the pin connector for the servo had never been plugged in for the electronic control. Appears this has been an issue for other people also. Otherwise I would have given a rating of 5 stars.
