Easy, Quiet, Great Warranty Recall Response

After a year with 26 hrs run time an issue developed that was addressed by a manufacturer’s recall. Response was immediate and a new unit was sent out. Westinghouse exceeded expectations on how this was handled. Unit is very quiet, great run time on a tank of gas, easy operation and handles a full load on our RV effortlessly.

Great so far

I purchased the Igen4500 to replace an older,smaller conventional generator. Set up was easy after reading the manual completely first. The generator started right up and I ran it for a half hour or so. It's really quiet compared to the conventional generator. It's primary function will be to supply backup power after a Hurricane. So, it will be a while (hopefully never) before any long term usage. I do not however expect any problems because of the build quality.

I have not had an occasion to use the lgen4500 but having it provides me with an added sense of security. Knowing I have power when needed and that this generator will start when it is needed.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The product did not work when it arrived. After trying all the troubleshooting tips and sitting on hold with customer service, I found multiple YouTube videos all saying the same thing. I had to pop off the panels (which are not easily done) and found that a cable arrived unattached that controlled the idle. I plugged that in and everything has worked great since. It's a really nice unit, I just don't like that I had to take it apart new out of the box to get it to work.

Had it for 2 weeks ran 2 heat and load cycles so far and multiple oil changes. No choke issues. And starts right up. Changed out plug right away for an ngk equivalent
