Purchased this after an electrician put a 50 amp plug outside of our house to be able to use one outside cord to operate the important things in my house in case of power outages due to hurricanes or severe storms. This is a powerful machine with three choices of fuel source. We've tested it out and are very pleased with it's performance. Great option for small to medium size homes.

I just recently bought this Westinghouse house portable generator and I was very surprised of its size as reading the the instructions, the power that it has the build of it. How the easy it was to locate all of the functions and switches of this generator. It's just an overall great build machine. Haven't had an opportunity to use it. thank God but I did a test run it and runs pretty smooth, Pretty quiet and it did work as as described

The title says it all. This is a powerful well-built generator that can run my whole house. Living in Florida a generator is definitely a must have. You cannot go wrong with a Westinghouse product. My grandfather and father both worked for Westinghouse and they trust it and so do I. She runs very well and tested out to do everything that it is built for. While I would rather not need it, if electricity goes out, I am confident I will have the power to keep my family safe and the important things running.

The size and quality I wanted! Great price too.

I had it with having to break out the old 3k generator, hook up the extension cords to run thru a window into the house. Get another extension to get to the fridge in one room, the heater in another and the modem in a third room. All while it's raining and storming and doing it all by flashlight. I don't care how old you are, you're too old for that crap!
I wanted to be sure I got a Westinghouse Generator because of the quality. When I got estimates to install the 50-amp Generator Box to the house, the electricians all asked if I was getting a Westinghouse Generator. They all agreed it was the one that worked every time it was needed. Just follow the maintenance schedule and you'll be fine.
I needed a generator that could handle surges to 5000 wats (central air, 14 amps, 240 volts) while running the house. I wanted tri-fuel so I could start out on propane and then switch to natural gas. Running on propane to start gets you through the start of the storm for hours so there's no rush to switch over until it's not as bad.
We followed the directions and had it assembled (wheel and brace) and running in half an hour. This had the sound you want to hear when cranked up. Powerful. After about 10 minutes, connected it to the house with the 50-amb plug and thru the double throw switch. That's it. It ran the house on propane. Even when the central air kicked in, no problem. Ran it for about 15 minutes then switched back so I could shut it down. Time for the first run oil change.
This is, without a doubt, the best security blanket I could get for the house, No more worries.
