the only generator that has a rumote start

I am going to use this unit to power my mobile home with central air in power outages. I wish the instruction book would say how long you can leave the battery switch on after shutting the gen off. I plan on shutting it off from inside the house at night with the remote and starting it up the next morning without going outside. I can trip the breakers inside the house to restart it. The unit will be about 50 feet away from the house. I don't want to go out in the rain or snow to start or stop it.

Works beautifully on propane

Hooking this generator up to the propane line with 3/8" copper tubing worked really well. I tapped into the propane line just past the secondary pressure reducer and swapped the supplied input fitting with a 1/2" mpt to 3/8" flare fitting. I wired the output to the main panel with 6/3 Romex and a safety interlock for the 50-amp breaker and then waited for us to lose power, which occurred just a couple of days ago. Firing up the generator was easy using the electric starter and we were up and running and switched over to generator power in just a couple of minutes. It was really rewarding to be able to set the whole thing up for a small fraction of the cost of a typical whole-house system and I'm particularly pleased with the electronic voltage control which provides much more consistent voltage and frequency than the older 5KW generator I had previously used.

So Far So Good

I have not had to use but I did take it out and assemble it. My only issue is that I did not realize it did not have the cord to hook it to the house in the kit, so when my electrician came and wired up the connection, he asked where the cord was and I did not know I needed one. If you are buying, be sure to buy the cord when you order.
