With the increase in powerful storms and after being at a relative's house and running extension cords everywhere, we decided to purchase a whole-house backup generator and wire our home to accept the alternate power source. I moved one double-pole circuit in the panel, extended its feed wires, installed a double-pole 50A breaker, and a receptacle on the wall outside the box. The receptacle is close to the garage door, and my power cord will easily reach 20' from the house. The generator arrived a few days later. The freight company was very communicative and delivered to the driveway close to the house. It took about 5 minutes to install the nice sized wheels and another 5 or six to install the front feet. Thanks for the included wrenches...perfect! Filled up the oil, connected to my propane tank with the included hose adapter, connected the battery lines, set the fuel dial, and turned on the power switch. Hit the "start" button for two seconds, and the generator fired right up! I let it run for about 30 minutes and then added an electric heater as a load. Let it run for another 15 minutes and increased the load. The generator handled everything without issue. I can't say enough about the quality of the generator. Multiple outlets, easy to read and operate information center, EZ to understand layout and information center. This is a well-built, stout piece of machinery. Everything is well labeled...Westinghouse has thought of everything and made the setup and use of the generator as instinctive as possible! I've been looking at whole-house generators for a while. I decided to go with the one with over 34,000 five-star reviews. I think I made a good choice, this generator is all you could want, and a lot more!

Have owned previous Westinghouse generators in the past, and they have all been flawless - purchased this slightly larger model when we moved to our new Florida home, and expect it to operate just as well - really love the multiple fuel options

Easy Set Up and runa great!

I bought this in Florida to prepare for the hurricane season and I had no issues with it running. I love the fact that it gives me the option to use propane and gas since there are times that gas is hard to find during hurricanes so it gives me additional peace of mind! Hopefully I don’t need to use it but if I do, I’m happy with my choice of generator!

I bought this generator because I wanted the ability to power my whole house via the panel, and to use Natural Gas as a source of fuel. This was super easy to setup and had it running in no time. I'm hoping that I'll never have to use it, but I'll be ready in the event that we need to. Great product, great quality... runs and looks great!!
