Peace of mind

I recently purchased this generator. This generator will be used in the event that my home loses power. I haven't had to use it yet other than to get it running and test it out. I will be connecting the get to natural gas so I never have to worry about running out of fuel. I actually can't wait until I NEED to use it.

OMG! This thing runs like a dream!

Just received! My brother who lives 28 hrs away help me with installing feet/wheels. I literally know nothing about using a genny. He helped with live video and pics. Runs like a dream! We tested the distance with the remote start..about 40 ft and even through brick! I'm in Florida and getting ready for hurricane season. I learned last year with NO power for 10 days and lost all our food. NOT happening again! Thank you Westinghouse for making an awesome product. Hope we don't have to use this year but if we do, I'll come back to make another review on how it holds up. I've been told I can install this to my panel box as it's large enough to run my entire house.

My Westinghouse 11500

I brought the Westinghouse 14500 Peak Watt Tri-Fuel Home Backup Portable Generator. I have to say, I’m so glad I went with the Westing House. It does everything I wanted it to. It was remote start, and is TransferSwitch Ready. I’m proud to own one these.

Nice features & layout, Was disappointed that the online Brochure showed it came with an Natural gas line hose. The Manual indicated it did not, not a big deal as I can get one, but that had been a plus. As I plan to primaily run on natural gas.

Everything I wanted in a Home Generator

I upgraded from my old generator specially for the additional power this generator provided and fuel options available at my fingertips, Gas, LP or Natural Gas at the flick of a switch are great options with all the connections to make the switch easily. This is a pretty heavy piece of equipment but with the extendable handle it's very easy to maneuver.

I like the layout of the controls. Everything is easy to get to. I have noticed that the choke automatically closes each time I start it. I have to be right there to turn off the choke, or it spits and sputters from flooding. Kinda makes the remote start moot. I'll keep looking into why that happens. Maybe I missed something. I've only used it lightly to break it in. I haven't worked it hard yet.
